Champagne and Sparkling Wine
Tom is the Champagne Correspondent for Decanter Magazine and Decanter Premium. He also covers the sparkling wines of Catalunya for timatkin.com, and has written on English wines for timatkin.com and US publication The Wine Advocate (2024).
Tom also writes the popular 'Six Atmospheres' Substack newsletter for followers of Champagne and sparkling wines. He was a finalist in the first ever 67 Pall Mall Global Wine Communicator Awards.

Judging, events and consultancy
Tom is Senior Judge for Champagne at the Decanter World Wine awards, and travels to Champagne most months of the year. He tastes and reviews thousands of sparkling wines annually, and has contributed to blind tasting panels for The World of Fine Wine Magazine and French magazine Terre de Vins, and led events ranging from private tastings to masterclasses on Champagne and sparkling wines from wine club 67 Pall Mall and European wine festivals.
Tom does not undertake promotional work, social media collaborations or advocacy work with any wine producers or regional organisation.
